The property in question was confiscated in the context of legal action against Marset, one of the most wanted drug traffickers in South America, with confirmed links in Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay.
The competent authorities opened a formal investigation to determine whether the uniformed officers made personal or improper use of the property, which should have remained in the custody of the Bolivian State whilst the corresponding judicial proceedings advanced.
