Confiscated vehicle from drug trafficker Marset allegedly used by prosecutor in Beni
A lawyer claims that a vehicle confiscated in the Marset case was in the possession of a Beni prosecutor for personal use. She demands the return of two vehicles after three months of waiting.

Vehicles from Marset case in hands of prosecutor: lawyer demands return
According to El Deber, lawyer Eliana Fernández, representing alleged victims in the "Marset" case, demands the return of two vehicles confiscated during investigations against Uruguayan drug trafficker Sebastián Marset: a green BMW motorcycle and a Toyota Hilux pickup truck.
"The pickup truck we are talking about was in the possession of prosecutor Enrique [surname omitted], for personal use," Fernández alleged. According to the lawyer, the vehicle would have been used by that official from Beni despite being under judicial seizure.
Fernández also noted that, allegedly following the capture of former attorney general of the state Róger Mariaca, the pickup truck would have reappeared in Santa Cruz. "Surprisingly they brought the pickup truck here to Santa Cruz, although we do not know why or under what circumstances or where it is located," she stated.
The defence has been requesting the return of both vehicles for three months without result. Fernández is awaiting the intervention of departmental prosecutor Mabel Andrade to formalise a report explaining the delay. "Let him ask the prosecutor for a report on why there has been a delay so that we can be given the vehicles back," she said.
The lawyer emphasised that the Federal Police has already corroborated that the vehicles, classified as "high-end", were indeed stolen, which according to her supports the request for restitution to those she represents.
