Buried corpse discovered in Pipa during murder investigation; woman and adolescent arrested

A body missing since Sunday (27th) was found buried in the Pipa region, in Tibau do Sul, on the southern coast of Rio Grande do Norte, according to g1.globo.com on Tuesday (29th). The discovery occurred during a joint operation by the Civil Police and Military Police to investigate a homicide.
A 21-year-old woman was arrested in flagrante delicto and a 16-year-old adolescent was apprehended during the operation. The Civil Police indicate both as suspects in the murder.
According to investigations, the victim would have been killed by a gunshot. During the proceedings, the suspects themselves indicated to police the location where the corpse was buried. The body was removed from the location and sent for forensic examination.
In the same operation, 53 portions of cannabis, 15 portions of cocaine, a precision scale, three .38-calibre rounds, five 9mm rounds and two 12-gauge shotgun cartridges were seized. The Civil Police indicate that the detained woman is also suspected of involvement with drug trafficking.
The woman remains at the disposal of the judiciary. The adolescent was presented to the police authority, which adopted measures provided for in the legislation.
Investigations are continuing to clarify the circumstances of the crime and identify any other possible persons involved. The Civil Police request that information about the case be reported anonymously through the Crime Stoppers tip line 181.
