A man with an outstanding arrest warrant was detained at a hypermarket in the Enseada neighbourhood in Guarujá. He had been sentenced to 12 years in prison for rape of a vulnerable person.

A man sentenced to 12 years in prison under closed regime for rape of a vulnerable person was arrested on Friday (18) whilst working as a butcher at a hypermarket in the Enseada neighbourhood in Guarujá, on the São Paulo coast, according to g1.globo.com.
The arrest was carried out by a team from the Municipal Ostensible Patrols (Romu), of the Municipal Civil Guard (GCM), during routine patrol of the area. The officers received information about an outstanding arrest warrant against the establishment's employee and travelled to the location.
At the hypermarket, the guards approached the butcher and confirmed the judicial order through a system search. The man was then taken to the Rodovia Rapid Care Unit (UPA) for medical evaluation.
Following treatment, he was taken to the Guarujá Police Headquarters, where the incident was registered as the capture of a person wanted by the courts.
