Two men arrested for attempted murder in Bom Jesus do Itabapoana, RJ
The court ordered 30 days of temporary detention for two suspects in an attempted qualified murder that occurred on 7 September in the Northwest Fluminense region.

According to a report from g1.globo.com, the court ordered temporary detention for João Vitor Mendes da Silva, known as "Vitinho" or "João Vitinho", and Renan Vieira Gomes, both under investigation for an attempted qualified murder committed on 7 September in Bom Jesus do Itabapoana. The detention, for a period of 30 days, was carried out jointly by the Civil and Military Police.
The victim was struck by multiple gunshots to the face, arm and armpit. She was taken to an Emergency Health Centre and subsequently admitted to São Vicente de Paulo Hospital.
The investigation, conducted by delegate Henrique Lobato of the 144th Police Station (BJI), indicates that the crime is part of a territorial dispute between criminal factions Comando Vermelho and Terceiro Comando Puro (TCP). The original target of the action was allegedly a person linked to the TCP. The victim is believed to have been shot for being in the vicinity of the location targeted by the attackers.
In addition to the arrests, the court authorised searches and seizures of personal belongings, homes and vehicles belonging to the two suspects under investigation. The operations were authorised at the residence of one of them in the Santa Rosa neighbourhood in Bom Jesus do Itabapoana, at a relative's property, and also at the home of the other suspect in the same neighbourhood.
The court decision also authorised, in the event that mobile phones are seized, the breaking of data confidentiality on the devices, with access to telephone numbers, photographs, videos, text and voice messages, telephone directory, WhatsApp content and other stored information.
Until the publication deadline, g1.globo.com reported that it had been unable to locate the defence representatives of those under investigation.
