Brothers injured by gunfire in rural zone of Acrelândia; case referred to Civil Police

Two brothers, aged 33 and 31, were shot on the night of last Saturday (10) on Ramal do São Pedro, in Acrelândia, in the interior of Acre, as reported by g1.globo.com. The perpetrator and motive for the attempted homicide remain unknown.

The Military Police of Acre (PM-AC) reported that the team was called at approximately 21h45 and moved to the site together with a unit of the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu). Access to the region is via Ramal do Carlão, on the margins of the Abunã River.

On arrival, officers found the two injured men. One of them had been struck in the abdominal region; the other presented with facial injury. The PM reported that both displayed apparent signs of alcohol intoxication.

The victims received initial medical care on site and were taken by Samu to the Mixed Health Unit of Acrelândia for evaluation and further procedures.

According to police, neither the victims nor the witnesses present were able to identify the shooter or explain the motive for the crime. The case was referred to the Civil Police, which is conducting the investigation.
