Bar owner and motorcycle courier arrested for drug trafficking in Piracicaba; R$ 68,000 and drugs seized
A 48-year-old woman and a 66-year-old motorcycle courier were arrested in flagrante for drug trafficking in the centre of Piracicaba (SP) on Friday (18).

A 48-year-old woman was arrested in flagrante on Friday evening (18) for drug trafficking in the centre of Piracicaba (SP), according to g1.globo.com. The suspect and her husband, aged 50, both of Chinese origin, were under investigation by the Civil Police for selling narcotics inside a bar they owned.
A 66-year-old motorcycle courier, responsible for delivering the drugs, was also detained for the same offence. The suspect's husband had not been located as of the publication of the report.
Drugs and cash seized from bar and motorcycle
During the search of the bar, police found 32 portions of cocaine and R$ 6,374 in cash. On the motorcycle courier's bike, 33 portions of cocaine, 26 portions of crack, two portions of cannabis and R$ 4,600 in cash were seized.
At the couple's residence, police collected approximately R$ 61,000, as well as US$ 1,811 in dollars and a 10-euro note. The total seized in Brazilian currency reached R$ 68,569, combining the amounts found in the different locations.
The complete material seized includes 68 portions of cocaine, 27 portions of crack, two portions of cannabis, two mobile phones, R$ 68,569 in cash, US$ 1,811 in dollars and 10 euros.
Suspect is also owner of boarding houses linked to prostitution
The investigation indicates that, in addition to the bar, the woman owns boarding houses where people engaged in prostitution stayed and that she had a driver who carried out drug distribution.
Couple are defendants in killing of transgender person in 2015
The Civil Police also point out that the couple and the suspect's brother are facing charges for killing a transgender person with knife blows and a baseball bat in 2015, also in Piracicaba. At that time, those involved were arrested with cash and contraband.
