Viviane de Moraes's law office acknowledges flights on aircraft from company associated with Vorcaro
The Barci de Moraes law office confirmed on Sunday (20) that Supreme Federal Court (STF) minister Alexandre de Moraes was aboard jets operated by Prime Aviation, a company linked to former banker Daniel Vorcaro. The confirmation was released in a statement sent to CNN Brasil — cnnbrasil.com.br — and contradicts a previous declaration from the magistrate's office.
The law office counts Viviane de Moraes, the minister's wife, as a partner. In the statement, the firm said it contracts air taxi services from different companies, among them Prime Aviation. "In none of the flights carried out in Prime Aviation aircraft with members of the office was Daniel Vorcaro or any other person outside the office present," the text states.
Previous office version denied any use
At the end of March, Moraes's office had released a statement to the contrary, denying that the minister had used aircraft from companies linked to the former owner of Banco Master. The position arose in response to a report from the newspaper Folha de S. Paulo, which recorded at least eight flights on planes linked to Vorcaro.
At the time, the office classified the "inferences of the fanciful article" as "absolutely false" and stated that Moraes "never travelled on any aircraft belonging to Daniel Vorcaro or in his company and that of Fabiano Zettel, whom he does not even know".
Video records disembarkation at Santos Dumont
On Sunday, the newspaper O Globo published video showing Moraes and Viviane disembarking at Santos Dumont Airport in Rio de Janeiro after a jet flight carried out on 22 August 2025. The aircraft, a Legacy 650 with registration PP-NLR, belonged to a company of Vorcaro's, according to the newspaper.
The office reported that "the contracting of air taxi services follows operational criteria and does not involve any personal link with owners of aircraft or specific operators", adding that the choice of aircraft is the responsibility of the civil aviation companies themselves that are contracted.
Federal Police points to second contract of R$ 50 million
The flight occurred after negotiations by Viviane's office for a second contract with Vorcaro's companies, in the amount of R$ 50 million. The office denies the existence of such an agreement.
According to the Federal Police (PF), the contract would have been signed between the Barci de Moraes office and Viking Participações, a company represented by Vorcaro, on 12 May 2025, with provision for three years of service provision. On 19 May, Viking and the office would have signed an additional agreement to define the form of payment of the R$ 50 million — of which R$ 40 million would be paid through stakes in two companies linked to the aircraft operations.
This second contract would have been entered into following a first agreement between Banco Master itself and the Barci de Moraes office, signed in January 2024. That contract provided for 36 monthly instalments of R$ 3.6 million each, totalling R$ 131 million in case of full compliance — or R$ 108 million net, already discounted for taxes.
Moraes denies second contract in defence to STF
In a written defence presented to the STF on Tuesday (15), Moraes rejected the existence of any additional link between his family's office and companies linked to Vorcaro.
"THERE WAS NO SECOND CONTRACT OR ANY OTHER LINK of the Barci de Moraes office with Banco Master, Daniel Vorcaro or any of the companies linked to them", the minister stated in the document.
The office, for its part, reiterated in a statement that it does not have a contract for legal services with Prime Aviation and that it also did not carry out any acquisition of shares in the company.
