A man with an outstanding arrest warrant for robbery was detained by Military Police on Wednesday (24) in São João Evangelista, in eastern Minas Gerais, according to g1.globo.com. At the residence where he was staying, officers seized seven cannabis tablets, 40 packets of cocaine, a portion of crack cocaine, a precision scale and a mobile phone.
The operation began after Military Police received information that the suspect was living near Praça do Rosário. The team began monitoring the location and caught him entering the building.
When attempting to make the arrest, the man escaped through the window and jumped from the second-storey balcony, initially getting away. Police conducted a search inside the residence and located the drugs, which were entirely seized.
Located at hotel with support from Cyber Guardian
Following further investigations and with support from the Cyber Guardian — a digital tracking tool used by Military Police in Minas Gerais — the fugitive was found at a hotel in the city and arrested.
He was then taken to a medical facility for treatment. Subsequently, he would be brought to the Civil Police Station, together with all seized materials, for applicable legal procedures.
The total items collected include seven cannabis tablets, 40 packets of cocaine, a portion of crack cocaine, a mobile phone and a precision scale.
