The Federal Police, in joint action with the Federal Revenue Service, seized approximately 448 vials of medicines intended for weight loss, anabolic steroids and other foreign goods in Jaguapitã, in Paraná, on Friday (19/9). A man was arrested in flagrante delicto, according to gov.br.
During a patrol on highway PR-454, officers stopped a vehicle and found the products hidden in a secret compartment of the car. The medicines did not have registration with the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) nor the fiscal documentation required by law.
In addition to the irregular medicines, perfumes, electronic equipment and other goods without proof of origin were seized.
The suspect was taken to the Federal Police station in Londrina for judicial police procedures. The other occupants of the vehicle were questioned and subsequently released.
The seized medicines, the other goods and the vehicle were sent to the Federal Revenue Service for appropriate administrative action.
