As reported by g1.globo.com, a man was arrested in flagrante suspected of attempting to kill his partner by biting her face in the district of Piabetá, in Magé, in the Baixada Fluminense.
The incident came to the attention of the 66th Police Station (Piabetá) on Friday, 11th. Officers from the 34th BPM moved to the location, but the suspect had already fled. Hours later, he was found and detained.
The victim suffered serious injuries and received initial care at the Piabetá Emergency Care Unit. She was then transferred to Adão Pereira Nunes Hospital in Duque de Caxias, where she awaited surgery at the time the information was released by the Civil Police.
The man was charged in flagrante with attempted femicide.
