Man arrested for attempted feminicide after assaulting partner in Tanabi (SP)
Fabio Henrique de Oliveira Galvani, 28, was arrested in flagrante delicto on suspicion of attempted feminicide after assaulting his partner with punches and kicks in Tanabi (SP).

According to information obtained by g1.globo.com, a 28-year-old man was arrested on Sunday afternoon (18) suspected of assaulting his partner, also 28 years old, with punches and kicks to the face in the Boa Vista neighbourhood in Tanabi (SP).
The victim was treated for a serious head wound, a fractured jaw and several fractures to the face. She was taken to Hospital de Base de São José do Rio Preto, where she underwent plastic surgery on Tuesday (20) for reconstruction of the facial bones.
Military police officers called to the scene found the property with various bloodstains. Both the woman and her partner had been taken for medical treatment by the time the authorities arrived.
The suspect's parents, questioned by officers, reported having heard noise coming from the bedroom and, upon entering the room, found their son injured.
At Hospital de Base, police officers found the woman with injuries to the face, eyes, mouth, head and neck. Despite the condition she was in, she informed officers that she had been physically assaulted by her partner with punches and kicks aimed mainly at the head and mouth.
The victim told police that, in an attempt to defend herself, she used a pocketknife belonging to the man and struck him in the neck. She also stated that she had been threatened with death during the assaults.
The suspect was located and arrested subsequently. When questioned by police, he claimed he had been assaulted first by his partner and maintained that he had used only restraint techniques and shoves with his feet, which he claimed had caused the woman to fall onto the bedroom furniture. He denied throwing punches or kicks.
Given the critical condition of the victim, the police delegate determined the arrest in flagrante delicto of Fabio Henrique de Oliveira Galvani for attempted qualified feminicide in the context of domestic and family violence, without bail. Police also filed a representation for the conversion of the flagrante arrest into preventive detention.
When questioned by g1.globo.com about the possibility of Fabio being a professional fighter, his defence attorney stated that the client practises the activity only as a sport.
