Gun shooting homicide in Carlos Chagas: three suspects detained in Juiz de Fora
A 29-year-old victim was executed with at least 16 shots from a 9 mm pistol in the Carlos Chagas neighbourhood. An 18-year-old youth and two adolescents were detained but released due to lack of evidence.

An 18-year-old man was arrested and two adolescents, aged 15 and 16, were apprehended on Monday (28) suspected of involvement in the murder of a 29-year-old man in the Carlos Chagas neighbourhood, in Juiz de Fora, according to g1.globo.com. The victim was executed with at least 16 shots from a 9 mm pistol.
According to the Military Police (PM), the victim was travelling by motorcycle on Rua Eunice Wever when he was approached by another man, also on a motorcycle. The two got into an argument and a physical fight.
The victim attempted to take refuge in a workshop on Rua Helena Bittencourt, but was shot in the face and died at the scene. The suspect fled in the direction of the Parque das Águas neighbourhood. Forensic experts collected ammunition casings inside the workshop.
During the search, police located the motorcycle used by the suspect in the grounds of a condominium in Parque das Águas. The three suspects were found inside an apartment considered abandoned in the same building.
At the scene, officers apprehended a motorcycle key identified as belonging to the vehicle used in the crime, a mobile phone, money, an imitation firearm and a balaclava. Outside the building a black helmet was found similar to the one seen in security camera footage.
The 18-year-old was detained on suspicion of involvement in the homicide. The two adolescents were apprehended on suspicion of a criminal act analogous to the crime of homicide. The motorcycle used in the criminal action was also apprehended.
According to the Civil Police, the three were taken to the police station but released afterwards due to lack of evidence. The case will be investigated by the Specialised Homicide Investigation Department.
