Young man and teenager shot dead in Barra Mansa residence
A 19-year-old young man and a 16-year-old teenager were shot dead in the Vila Independência neighbourhood in Barra Mansa (RJ) on Sunday morning. No arrests have been made so far.
Double homicide in Vila Independência leaves two victims on bedroom floor
As reported by g1.globo.com, a 19-year-old young man and a 16-year-old teenager were shot dead on the morning of this Sunday (18) in the Vila Independência neighbourhood in Barra Mansa (RJ). The crime occurred around 5:50 am in an annexe at the rear of a residence on Rua Manoel Pires.
The Military Police were called after reports of gunfire at the address. Upon arrival, officers found the two victims dead on the floor of the bedroom where they were sleeping.
The resident of the main house told police that she woke up frightened by the sound of gunshots. Upon going out to investigate, she spotted approximately three men coming down the stairs leading to the room and subsequently fleeing.
Forensic teams from the Civil Police attended the scene and found no signs of forced entry to the property. During the investigation, ammunition casings, fired projectiles and a mobile telephone were collected.
The bodies were taken to the Institute of Legal Medicine (IML). The case was registered at the Barra Mansa police station, which opened an inquiry to investigate the circumstances, authorship and motive of the crime.
At the time of publication, no suspects had been arrested and the identities of the victims had not been released by the authorities.
