Over 100 kg of drugs seized on bus on BR-135 in Curvelo (MG)
Police stopped a bus travelling from São Paulo to Bahia and found cocaine, cannabis and crack with a travel assistant. A passenger with a rape warrant was also arrested.

The Military Police seized over 100 kilogrammes of narcotics from a scheduled bus on the BR-135 in the municipality of Curvelo on Saturday (17), according to reporting by g1.globo.com. The operation was conducted jointly by the Highway Military Police and officers from the 42nd Battalion, at kilometre 634 of the motorway.
The vehicle departed from São Paulo bound for Cansanção, in the interior of Bahia. During the stop, police noticed nervous behaviour from the 34-year-old travel assistant. With the assistance of a sniffer dog, several boxes hidden in baggage compartments under his responsibility were located.
The seized material totalled 50 kilogrammes of cocaine base, seven kilogrammes of cocaine hydrochloride, 50 bars of cannabis, 31.5 bars of crack, one package of skunk and one package of hashish. The travel assistant was arrested in flagrante.
During a search of the other passengers, officers identified a 57-year-old man with an outstanding preventive detention warrant for the crime of sexual abuse of a minor. The judicial order had been issued in 2023 by the 8th Criminal Court of Arapiraca, from the Court of Justice of Alagoas. He was also detained.
The two arrested individuals were taken to the Civil Police station, along with the seized drugs.
