General practitioner arrested after harassing patient twice in same week
A doctor was detained on Tuesday afternoon (29th) in Mirassol (SP), suspected of grabbing and attempting to kiss a 21-year-old patient, according to findings by g1.globo.com.
According to TV TEM, the victim was harassed on two separate occasions. The first occurred on Friday (25th); the second occurred on Tuesday itself, when the Military Police were called and made the arrest.
The professional worked as a general practitioner at the Basic Health Unit (UBS) Renascença and was taken to the Police Station in Mirassol. The Municipal Health Secretariat informed TV TEM that it had opened an investigation to look into the facts.
Until the report went to press, the doctor's name had not been disclosed by the authorities.
