Operation in Araçatuba arrests five and executes 21 warrants against drug trafficking

The Civil Police launched Operation No Way Out on Saturday morning (19) in Araçatuba (SP) and in the state capital, targeting a criminal organisation under investigation for drug trafficking, conspiracy to traffic drugs and money laundering. According to g1.globo.com, the operation involved 95 civil and military police officers.
During the proceedings, teams executed 21 search and seizure warrants — 19 in Araçatuba and two in São Paulo — in addition to ten temporary arrest warrants.
Of the ten targets with arrest warrants, five were located and apprehended during the operation: four men and one woman. The other five warrants were executed directly in the prison system, against suspects already serving sentences for other offences. Two other men were charged in flagrante for drug trafficking.
The investigations, conducted by the 2nd Drug Investigation Unit of Araçatuba, focused on selling points in the São José neighbourhood, particularly in the vicinity of Rua Fundador Paulino Gato. The survey identified distinct roles within the organisation: sellers, lookouts, persons responsible for supply and those in charge of money collection.
Financial analysis showed that a single selling point in the region, known as "Biqueira da Esquina Maluca", handled more than R$ 2 million during the investigated period.
