The Civil Police and the Public Prosecutor's Office found, on the morning of Friday the 18th, a secret passage connecting two properties associated with former councillor and former president of the São Paulo City Council Milton Leite, during a search operation in Sorocaba, in the interior of São Paulo. According to g1.globo.com's findings, Leite, who was considered at large, voluntarily presented himself to the police hours after the proceedings.
At the properties, investigators seized R$ 280,000 and US$ 89,000 — equivalent to approximately R$ 457,000 — stored inside suitcases. The person found at the location could not explain the origin of the amounts. The police are investigating whether the money belongs to Milton Leite.
According to the authorities, one of the properties belongs to an adviser to the former parliamentarian and the other would belong to Milton himself. The second was empty at the time of the inspection. Investigators suspect that the politician may have stayed in one of the residences before turning himself in.
Arrest warrant issued under Operation Vectura Corrupta
Milton Leite's arrest was ordered by the judiciary on Thursday the 17th, at the request of the investigation. He is suspected of involvement in a scheme to infiltrate the First Command of the Capital faction (PCC) into public collective transport companies and structures in São Paulo. Milton denies the accusations and states that he will prove his innocence.
Operation Vectura Corrupta was launched on Thursday for the execution of search, seizure and arrest warrants. In total, the judiciary ordered the arrest of 16 suspects. As of the latest report update, 11 had been arrested and five remained at large.
Among those detained are Levi dos Santos Oliveira, former president of SPTrans, and Danilo Marco Morgado Silva, former candidate for mayor of Praia Grande and current candidate for state deputy. Among those at large is Paulo Sirqueira Korek Farias, known as Paulo Camarão, president of Esporte Clube Água Santa. The report did not locate the defence representatives of those cited.
PCC and bus companies in the Public Prosecutor's sights
According to the Public Prosecutor's Office, at least 12 of the 22 collective transport companies operating in the São Paulo capital would be controlled directly or indirectly by the PCC — a claim still subject to judicial investigation.
Milton Leite's name appears in dialogues and other elements gathered by the investigation. The judicial decision also mentions statements from military police who pointed him out as the "actual owner" of Transwolff, a company already investigated in Operation Fim da Linha, in 2024. Transwolff denies that the politician has shareholding or any role in the management of the company. Milton reaffirms that he has no relationship with the PCC and denies being owner of Transwolff.
