Seven arrested and 20 warrants executed in anti-drugs operation in Teresina
The Civil Police of Piauí arrested seven men and executed 20 search warrants in the Itaperu neighbourhood, in Teresina, on Thursday night (8).

Seven men were detained and twenty search and seizure warrants were executed by the Civil Police of Piauí in different areas of Teresina on Thursday night (8), according to a report by g1.globo.com.
According to delegate Samuel Silveira, of the Department for the Suppression of Drug Trafficking, the addresses targeted by the operation are related to a territorial dispute between rival factions. The Itaperu neighbourhood was the main focus of the action, an area where there was recently an exchange of gunfire between the groups.
"Here we are conducting inspections, seizing drugs and arresting those involved," stated delegate Samuel.
Among the material seized during the operation were 5,000 Brazilian reais in cash, packaged drugs, a firearm, ammunition and several mobile phones.
