Suspect in multiple homicides arrested in feminine disguise carrying child in Paraíba
Jorlan, 33 years old, was detained in Mulungu (PB) after 48 hours of operation. The child of approximately 2 years whom he was carrying had no family relation to him, police say.

As reported by g1.globo.com, a 33-year-old man identified as Jorlan was arrested on the morning of Sunday (13) in Mulungu, in the Agreste region of Paraíba, whilst attempting to flee dressed in women's clothing and carrying a child of approximately two years in his arms. The Civil Police reported that the child had no family relation whatsoever with the suspect.
According to the force, the disguise and the presence of the child were deliberate strategies to avoid recognition during the escape. Jorlan is identified as a suspect in involvement in several homicides recorded in the Vale do Mamanguape region and had against him a preventive arrest warrant issued by the Justice of Paraíba.
The arrest was the result of an integrated operation that lasted approximately 48 hours. The security forces had information passed on by the Federal Highway Police (PRF) and support from the Integrated Command and Control Centre (CICC).
During the same operation, two other men suspected of involvement in crimes in the region were detained during a stop in the municipality of Mulungu. Delegate Marcos Paulo Sales, responsible for the operation by the Civil Police, stated that the three would have links with the same criminal faction operating in the region.
The Civil Police have not yet clarified how the child came to be with Jorlan or whether she received medical care after being located. The circumstances involving the minor remain without official explanation at this time.
The three suspects were taken to the Civil Police station in Mulungu, where they remain at the disposal of Justice.
