The Aargau Cantonal Police detained, at around 01:00 on Monday, a 43-year-old Swiss citizen strongly suspected of perpetrating the shooting recorded at a techno party in the canton of Aargau. According to Correio da Manhã, following the attack a 22-year-old Italian woman died and five other people were injured.
The detention was announced by the authorities in a post on the social media platform X and occurred just hours after a search operation for the suspect was launched. Investigators are now working on the conviction that the attack was carried out by a single individual, and have promised to release new operational details over the course of the day.
