The National Police apprehended in flagrante delicto a 22-year-old man known as "El Cuca" in the Venus neighbourhood of the municipality of Cereté, Córdoba. According to information from policia.gov.co, the individual allegedly trafficked in narcotic substances through a mobile point of sale operation.
According to the authorities, "El Cuca" operated in the Las Acacias neighbourhood, rotating between different points of sale to hinder his identification and location. Police surveillance operations made it possible to establish that pattern and carry out his arrest. During the procedure, 46 grammes of marijuana were seized from him, distributed in 25 cigarettes, allegedly intended for sale.
The detainee is believed to have begun this activity around the age of 16 and has links to six previous criminal cases for drug trafficking, manufacture or possession of narcotics, in the capacity of a suspect.
The National Police stated that this result is part of criminal investigation actions aimed at identifying and disrupting the various methods of drug distribution in Cereté and the municipalities in the Montería metropolitan area.
