Four stolen motorbikes found in Kennedy hairdresser used as chop shop
Bogotá police recovered four motorcycles reported stolen and hidden in a hairdresser's in the Las Palmitas neighbourhood, Kennedy, using GPS tracking.

A GPS device installed in a stolen motorcycle led Bogotá police to a property in the Las Palmitas neighbourhood, in Kennedy locality, in the south-west of the capital, where officers found four motorcycles reported as stolen, according to bogota.gov.co.
The property apparently operated as a hairdresser's, but the first floor was being used to store and possibly dismantle vehicles. The owner of the premises authorised police entry and indicated that she had rented the space to several foreign nationals.
In addition to the hidden motorcycles, agents found dismantled vehicle registration plates, an element which reinforces the hypothesis of illicit activity linked to vehicle theft. The four recovered motorcycles were placed at the disposal of the competent authority to be returned to their owners.
Bogotá police and the District Secretariat for Security, Coexistence and Justice (SDSCJ) indicated that they continue to carry out operations aimed at preventing the commission of this type of crime in the city.
The authorities remind citizens that they can report any criminal act or matter contrary to coexistence through the Emergency Line 123.
