Two men arrested for sexual abuse of girls in Córdoba
The National Police arrested two men in Ciénaga de Oro and Planeta Rica accused of sexually assaulting two minors under 14 years old. One of them is the stepfather of the victims.
Arrests in Córdoba for alleged sexual assault against two minor sisters
The National Police, in coordination with the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation, arrested two men—aged 29 and 38—in the municipalities of Ciénaga de Oro and Planeta Rica in the department of Córdoba, accused of alleged acts of sexual assault against two minors under 14 years old. The judicial orders were executed as a result of an investigative process conducted by the Criminal Investigation Section of the Metropolitan Police of Montería and Fiscal Unit 10 of the Special Unit for Children and Adolescents (UENNA) of Montería.
Operations in two municipalities
The first of those arrested, identified by the alias "Pacho", was found through a search and raid operation in the rural area of El Siglo, in Ciénaga de Oro. The second, aged 38, was located in Planeta Rica, after authorities established that he was outside the jurisdiction where the alleged events occurred.
Events that reportedly began in 2023
According to the investigation, the events reportedly took place in Ciénaga de Oro from 2023, when one of the minors, who was 10 years old at that time, would have been a victim of the conduct being investigated. In 2025, her sister, who was 6 years old at the time of the alleged events, was also reportedly affected.
The accused would have taken advantage of their closeness to the family unit: one of them would be the stepfather of the minors, and the other, a person close to the family. The investigation also indicates that they allegedly resorted to intimidation to prevent the girls from revealing what had happened.
A teacher activated the protection protocol
The case came to the attention of authorities in March 2026, after a teacher at the educational institution where the minors studied became aware of the situation and activated the Pink Code care protocol, a mechanism that allowed intervention by the competent authorities and the initiation of investigative proceedings.
Based on the information gathered, investigators conducted judicial police activities that made it possible to identify the presumed responsible parties, establish their locations, and execute the judicial orders.
Custodial detention measure for alias "Pacho"
Both arrested individuals were placed at the disposal of judicial authorities for the crimes attributed to them. In the case of alias "Pacho", the judicial authority ordered custodial detention. The criminal liability of those prosecuted shall be determined in accordance with due process and the presumption of innocence.
The National Police highlighted the importance of timely reporting and coordination between the educational community, families, and institutions to activate protection protocols for minors in a timely manner.
