Two women shot dead in Ciudad Bolívar, south Bogotá
Two women aged 33 and 45 were found dead on a street in Arborizadora Baja. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the crime.

According to semana.com, two women were shot dead in the Ciudad Bolívar locality in the south of Bogotá during the early hours of Wednesday, 23 September. The bodies were found on a public street in the Arborizadora Baja sector.
Residents of the area alerted the authorities after hearing several gunshots. Upon approaching the scene, they found the two victims lying in the street.
Lieutenant Colonel Ricardo Chávez, an officer with the Bogotá Metropolitan Garrison, confirmed that the women were 33 and 45 years old. "An incident has occurred in which, regrettably, two women have lost their lives. We are working with the Judicial Police to trace the cameras to determine whether these individuals could be residents of the sector or what were the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate incident," the uniformed officer stated.
To date, the identity of the perpetrators of the crime remains unknown. The authorities have also not confirmed whether the victims were residents of the surrounding area or whether they were passing through. A more detailed report from the Police is expected in the coming hours.
Ciudad Bolívar is among the localities in Bogotá with the highest number of public order incidents. Days earlier, a man died in the same locality following a police procedure: according to initial reports, the individual was involved in a brawl and was neutralised with a taser-type device. He was taken to a police station, where hours later he experienced health complications and subsequently died at a clinic at around 7:00 p.m.
