Homicide and robbery in Usaquén: one dead and two arrested in north Bogotá

Two public order incidents shake the Usaquén locality
Two public safety incidents were registered in the Usaquén locality, in north Bogotá, according to reporting by caracol.com.co. The first corresponds to a homicide; the second, to the arrest of two alleged thieves following an armed robbery.
Man found dead inside a vehicle
The first case occurred in the morning hours on Calle 181 with Carrera 11. Police units arrived at the scene following the report and found a man dead inside an automobile, with wounds caused by firearm.
Officers cordoned off the area to facilitate judicial procedures. The Technical Investigation Corps (CTI) assumed technical inspection of the scene and the investigative process to establish the circumstances of the attack, identify those responsible and determine the motives of the crime.
The authorities are proceeding with the collection of material evidence and evidence to clarify the case.
Two men arrested following armed robbery
In a second operation, registered in the Santa Bárbara Oriental sector—also in Usaquén—police arrested two men aged 26 and 23, accused of having snatched a bracelet from a woman moments before.
During the robbery, the victim was reportedly attacked with a traumatic weapon, although authorities indicated that she sustains no serious injuries.
The arrest was made possible thanks to the timely response of officers and support from the community, which alerted authorities to what had occurred and facilitated the location of the alleged perpetrators. During the operation, police recovered the stolen bracelet and seized the motorcycle on which the two men allegedly travelled.
The arrested individuals were placed at the disposal of the competent authority to answer for the alleged crimes, whilst the judicial process advances to determine their responsibility.
The National Police reiterated the call to citizens to promptly report any situation affecting security and coexistence. The emergency line activated for these cases is 123.
