The National Police arrested eight drug dealers and dismantled five drug sales points in Montería during the present week, reported policia.gov.co. The operation was carried out in coordination with the National Army, the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation, and the Montería Municipal Administration.
Of the five dismantled outlets, four operated as fixed points and one operated as a mobile outlet. Within the framework of the various operational and investigative procedures, the authorities seized 4,289 doses of narcotics.
The operations were developed within the framework of the Citizen Security Block, with the aim of intervening in trafficking, manufacturing and carrying of narcotics in the city.
The Metropolitan Police of Montería stated that it will continue strengthening coordinated work with other institutions to guarantee safer environments for the city's inhabitants.
