Police operations in Bogotá and Cundinamarca result in dozens of arrests for extortion, homicide and drugs

Four people accused of being members of the gang 'Los Rebeldes' were arrested in the Ciudad Bolívar and Usme districts. In another operation, six alleged members of 'Los Buitres' were detained by Metropolitan Police officers.
The gang 'Las Tomaseras', which operated in different sectors of Bogotá, was also subject to a police operation. Additionally, members of Tren de Aragua, a criminal organisation of Venezuelan origin with a presence in the capital, were arrested as part of the operations.
In Cundinamarca, three people accused of belonging to 'Los Troyanos' were detained in a coordinated operation by the Cundinamarca governorship.
The authorities seized weapons during the procedures, including one carried out in the vicinity of El Campín stadium, according to images released by the Bogotá Police through their social media networks.
The operations are part of a sustained offensive against the gangs that control criminal economies in the city and surrounding municipalities, covering crimes ranging from street theft to cybercrime.
