The National Police dismantled a drug trafficking network in south Bogotá that operated disguised as an auto parts business, with 19 detainees.

Operation in La Estanzuela yields 19 detainees and 1.2 billion pesos in blow against drug trafficking network
The National Police dismantled in Bogotá the Hera Organised Common Criminal Group, a criminal structure that distributed narcotics in the La Estanzuela neighbourhood whilst posing as a vehicle accessories shop. The operation, carried out on 7 October 2026, resulted in 19 people being arrested and over 9,000 doses of marijuana, bazuco and coca base being seized, according to infobae.com.
The Criminal Investigation Section (Sijín), in coordination with the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation, carried out the operation in the Los Mártires locality. Authorities estimate the economic impact on the group's finances at 1.2 billion pesos.
The investigation lasted more than a year and included the work of an undercover agent. It concluded with 17 search and seizure operations in the localities of Los Mártires, Antonio Nariño and Puente Aranda. Of the 19 arrested, 15 were detained by judicial order and four were caught in the act.
An auto parts cover and doses marked with Batman
To evade police controls, the group operated from auto parts sales outlets in the Las Tanzuelas sector and marked the doses with the Batman symbol to facilitate identification among buyers.
At the head of the organisation was alias Marta, identified as the ringleader. She controlled the street-level dealers and coordinated the security of the sales points. Her sister, alias La Mona, performed the functions of manager and supplier, and was responsible for collecting money generated by the illicit activity.
Alias Carolina, of Venezuelan nationality, was the public face of the cover: she attended the vehicle accessories shop whilst storing and distributing the drugs.
At the operational level were aliases Jessica, "Helen", "Flaca", "Orley", "Alberto", "Rakiti", "Narizón", "Brayan", "Yeimi" and "Mary", all serving as sellers. The aliases César and "Paisa" acted as suppliers for the group.
Detention measures for those arrested
The 19 detainees face charges of conspiracy to commit a crime and for manufacturing, trafficking or possession of narcotics. Several of them had prior criminal records for theft and similar crimes.
A judge of guarantees imposed a detention measure in a prison facility for 10 of the accused; the others were placed under house arrest.
The mayor of Bogotá, Carlos Fernando Galán, confirmed the operation through his social media. "They thought nothing would happen to them. They were wrong," said the local official.
