Security guard killed outside nightclub in Engativá after months of extortion
According to bluradio.com, the owners of a nightclub located on Avenue 68, in the Bogotá locality of Engativá, were allegedly victims of extortion for at least ten months, with demands for money that began in December 2025. The case was already known to the Gaula of the Police.
On the night of Thursday 8 October, a 59-year-old security guard who was working outside the establishment was murdered by a single gunshot. Security cameras recorded the sequence of the attack in detail.
The footage shows how two men travelling on a motorcycle approach the security guard. One of them films the scene, whilst the other hands him a pamphlet with his left hand. The message read: "Greetings from Los Satanás. These are the consequences for not heeding the call of Pedrito and Moisés", accompanied by a telephone number at the end.
The pamphlet was made with fragments of cut-out and glued letters. Immediately after handing it over, the same subject fired once with his right hand against the security guard, who was killed. Both men fled on the motorcycle. Authorities indicate that they would be alleged members of the criminal gang 'Los Satanás'.
The case raises questions about whether the homicide responds exclusively to the alleged extortion or whether there is also a revenge component by the criminal group. Authorities are pursuing investigations to establish the circumstances of the crime and identify those responsible, with the aim of bringing them to justice.
