A young man wanted for attempted murder by stabbing in Kato Polemidia has surrendered to police and is being held for eight days.
23-year-old man surrenders for attempted murder in Kato Polemidia
A 23-year-old man wanted for a knife assault in Kato Polemidia surrendered to the authorities on Thursday morning. He was immediately placed under arrest and brought before a court, which approved an eight-day detention order.
The arrest warrant had been issued one day earlier, on Wednesday. The incident occurred on Tuesday, when Lemesos General Hospital informed police that a 23-year-old with abdominal wounds from a stabbing had been brought in by ambulance. The injured man was operated on and is now hospitalised out of danger.
