City police in Prague 2 dealt with a case on Polská street involving an aggressive homeless man who was creating a waste dump at the location and attacked one of the police officers with a belt.
A patrol was dispatched after a resident reported that a homeless man was in the area shouting at passers-by and behaving vulgarly. The called officers asked the man to identify himself, but instead of cooperating, the fifty-seven-year-old man began insulting the police and shouting at them.
The patrol attempted to calm the situation, but the individual escalated his aggression. At one point, he swung a belt at one of the officers. The police reacted immediately by using coercive measures, subduing the man on the ground and placing handcuffs on him.
The entire case was subsequently taken over by a state police patrol.
