The Plzeň Regional Court has sentenced two men who sexually abused fourteen-year-old girls and supplied them with methamphetamine in Ostrov nad Ohří.

The Regional Court in Plzeň issued a non-final verdict on Wednesday against fifty-year-old Petr Zádamský and forty-seven-year-old David Pomp. Both were sentenced to four years imprisonment for sexually abusing minors and supplying them with addictive substances during 2018 in Ostrov nad Ohří.
The court panel chairman Jan Hostaš explained in his justification that Zádamský persuaded two fourteen-year-old schoolgirls to engage in sexual practices together in his office and in the toilets of the building where the tax office was located. During these activities he would gratify himself. He offered them financial rewards and gifts in exchange for their participation.
Together with Pomp, both men provided the young girls with methamphetamine free of charge, which the girls consumed. The court panel found them guilty of sexual abuse of minors, endangering the welfare of youth, and illegal handling of narcotic substances.
"An unconditional sentence was warranted. Since the defendants were not responsible for the considerable delay in the proceedings, we set its length at less than half the statutory rate," explained Hostaš.
Čestmír Kubera, director of the Karlovy Vary tax office, clarified that Zádamský was not his employee. During the period in question, a branch of the office was located in the building and Zádamský rented office space there together with other entities.
Zádamský is known from the so-called Zádamský gang case. According to the prosecution, the group was to have extorted businessmen and forcibly collected debts with high interest rates. However, the courts acquitted all gang members, including Petr and his brother Milan, of the charges. The state subsequently paid them compensation for unlawful criminal prosecution and detention.
