Former MP Dominik Feri appeared before the District Court in Teplice again. The judges there are reviewing his second request for conditional release from prison. The first attempt in January this year ended unsuccessfully – the Teplice judge then rejected Feri's request, reasoning that the convicted person had not changed.
Feri appealed the decision to the Regional Court in Ústí nad Labem. This higher court upheld his complaint, overturned the original rejection, and ordered a new review of the entire matter.
The Teplice court is now reassessing whether the former politician could be released before the end of his full sentence.
