Google News CZ — Crime (cs) reports that a member of the Criminal Police and Investigation Service of the Louny district office intervened yesterday while carrying out another task in the area behind the Žatec cemetery. The investigator in civilian clothes noticed a young man who had punched a girl in the face with a closed fist.
The officer interrupted his original task and confronted the aggressor, as his behaviour suggested that he intended to continue the attack. The man was detained at the scene until the arrival of a uniformed patrol of the Czech Police and municipal police officers.
Several calls were received on line 158 reporting an assault on a woman, which confirmed the urgency of the situation. The underage injured party was taken by ambulance to hospital. According to police information, the man in question threatened the investigator, saying he would shoot him.
Criminal proceedings were initiated in connection with the matter on suspicion of committing a criminal offence. Police declined to provide further details with reference to applicable legislation and the initial stage of the case.
