Bistro owner in Sušica faces charges of soliciting sex from underage seasonal workers
Vladimír Dobšovič (40), operator of the Sušica establishment Snackdog, appeared before court in Klatovy. The state prosecutor accuses him of luring underage seasonal workers into intimate activities for money over a two-year period. The prosecutor is seeking a suspended sentence of two years for the businessman and a ban on working with children for five years.
The alleged incidents occurred during the summer holidays of 2024 and the following year. Prosecutor Jan Hrubý told the court that the accused initially approached one of the girls with an offer of 500 crowns for showing her breasts. The girl refused this demand.
Later, the bistro owner allegedly called her to the rear of the establishment. He first criticised her work performance, then offered her the possibility of remaining employed and receiving an additional 2,000 crowns. The condition, however, was supposed to be sexual intercourse. After she refused, he allegedly kept persuading her that she could use the money. She eventually left her seasonal job.
Dobšovič allegedly repeated the same scenario with a second underage girl. Before the judicial panel, the first victim described her shock at her employer's behaviour. "He kept trying something new. I did not know how to react. I was afraid – who would believe a fifteen-year-old girl against the word of an adult businessman," she described her feelings.
Particularly concerning for her was the second incident. The owner summoned her to the bistro before opening hours, criticised her work, and suggested that she stay and receive money for sex. When he failed to persuade her, he allegedly began making threats – she would lose her schooling, her mother would lose her job, and her family would be evicted from their home.
The accused denied all the allegations. "These are fabrications. I only offered wages for work, not for pleasant moments," he defended himself. According to his version, the students were lying out of jealousy – one allegedly avoided a demanding shift during the fair, and the other could not handle being dismissed.
