The district court has begun examining the case of Michał Aubrecht. According to the indictment, the man broke into his former partner's house, where he attacked her new boyfriend with an axe. The injured man suffered serious hand injuries, but his life was saved by paramedics.
The state prosecutor accuses the defendant of attempted premeditated murder. The woman had allegedly previously received threats from him that he would kill her boyfriend. The assailant allegedly brought the tool with him. If found guilty, he faces a prison sentence of up to twenty years.
