A tragic case of domestic violence occurred at a housing estate in Ostrava-Zábřeh on Wednesday. The perpetrator shot his wife in the back and then turned the weapon on himself.
The woman ended up in hospital, where she underwent surgery. Her condition is serious, but she is not currently in danger of her life. This was reported by the emergency services.
Police officers at the scene did not communicate with the perpetrator. They later found him dead in a flat at the housing estate with a gunshot wound to the head. Police are investigating the case.
