A man in central Prague struck a police van carrying riot officers, ignored demands and ended up subdued on the ground. The incident occurred during reinforcement of holiday patrols.

An incident occurred in the centre of the capital city in which an aggressive individual attacked a police vehicle. The case took place at a time when patrols in tourist-exposed locations were strengthening their presence as part of the summer holidays. The server iDNES.cz reported on the incident.
The perpetrator walked past a service van belonging to members of the order maintenance unit and struck it. He subsequently refused to cooperate and did not respond to attempts by law enforcement officers to reason with him. He further escalated the situation with verbal outbursts. The result was his physical incapacitation and apprehension.
Police officers restrained the man and placed him in a vehicle. The entire operation was captured on video, which the security forces released.
