Prague police are searching for a man who attacked a bus driver last week in the evening. The perpetrator smashed the vehicle's front window with his fist, causing damage valued at 45,000 crowns. The incident occurred on Wednesday of the week before last shortly after 7 p.m. at the Pod Vinicí stop on Záběhlická Street.

The man boarded at the Bohdalec stop together with a woman. However, instead of getting off at Pod Vinicí, he approached the front of the vehicle. "The suspect began gesticulating towards the driver, using vulgar gestures and challenging him to physical confrontation. At one point he struck the bus windscreen with his fist," described police spokesman Tomáš Lahoda.

The perpetrator and his companion then left the scene. Police are investigating the case as property damage. In addition to the assailant himself, they wish to question the woman who was travelling with him. "We are asking witnesses to contact us on 158," said Lahoda.
