A 33-year-old repeat offender sold crystal meth in the Třebíč district. Police detained him last week; he is now awaiting trial in custody.

Police detectives arrested a man last week who had an established crystal meth dealing operation in Vysočina. The 33-year-old suspect allegedly offered or transferred drugs in Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou, Moravské Budějovice and Třebíč. He is suspected of committing the offence from spring of last year in dozens of cases.
The man was not an unknown face to police. He had previously been convicted several times for drug-related criminal activity, including for an unconditional sentence. Despite being on probation for a conditional release valid until the end of the decade, he continued the illegal activity.
The operation took place in Třebíč in the afternoon. After his arrest, he was taken directly into custody. The State Attorney informed him of charges in connection with a particularly serious crime involving narcotic substances. Subsequently, the court decided to place him in custody. An escort then transported him to prison.
If found guilty of illegal production and distribution of drugs, he faces a prison sentence of up to ten years.
