A Pardubic court will begin hearing a case on Friday involving a man accused of suffocating his wife with a plastic bag last January and subsequently presenting the death of the mother of two as a suicide.

The Pardubic branch of the Regional Court in Hradec Králové will begin hearing on Friday the indictment of a man from Orlickoústecka who allegedly murdered his wife last January. The woman was the mother of two children.
According to the case file, the accused man allegedly drugged the woman and subsequently suffocated her with a plastic bag. After the act, according to the prosecution, he attempted to disguise the death as a suicide. For this purpose, he allegedly wrote and printed a farewell letter.
The prosecutor is pursuing the man for the particularly serious crime of murder. If found guilty, he faces an exceptional sentence, which could include life imprisonment.
The court hearing will take place on Friday at the Pardubic court.
