On Thursday afternoon, shortly before half past three, a post office was held up in Kratonohách in the Králové Hradec region. The person reporting the incident contacted the emergency services line 158. Law enforcement immediately dispatched several of its units to the scene. The branch operates as a Pošta Partner and is located directly in the premises of the local town hall. It was closing at half past three that afternoon.
A witness described the attacker as a man of medium height, dressed in dark clothing. He covered most of his face, with only his eyes remaining visible. He spoke Czech without an accent.
Investigators continue to search intensively for the perpetrator. If he is apprehended and found guilty by a court, he could face a prison sentence of up to ten years.
