Police officers intervened on Wednesday at a private care facility in the village of Lhota in the Kladno district, where approximately twenty elderly residents live. The reason for the intervention was suspicion that no one was caring for the clients.
Anežka Černá, an employee of the Kladno organisation of the Czech Red Cross, told the Novinky.cz server that the elderly residents were malnourished. Police are investigating the case as suspected criminal activity; the spokesperson Michaela Richterová said that more specific information has not been released yet, according to the report.
