Prague detectives have determined the identities of some of approximately twenty-five masked assailants who attacked five young football fans at the beginning of April in one of the buildings in the capital. Police are still searching for the remaining suspects.

Security cameras captured how a group of aggressors in considerable numerical superiority attacked a group of young men in a corridor as they were leaving a gymnasium. This was followed by brutal beating, during which the attackers kicked victims already lying on the floor. The footage also captures a moment when one of the assailants jumped on the staircase and landed on the head of an injured person.

According to police spokeswoman Eva Kropáčová, cited by Novinky.cz, the attack was so brutal that the victims survived only by a miracle. All of them suffered serious injuries.

Police issued a call for assistance in the investigation along with footage of the incident on Thursday. The authorities did not disclose the specific number of people already identified or whether any of them came forward voluntarily, citing the ongoing investigation.
