Forty-five-year-old Martin Pompa faces charges at the regional court in Olomouc of defrauding a car collector from Přerov of ten million crowns for the purchase of two British racing cars, Chevron B16, which he never delivered.
Man accused of fraud involving racing cars appears in Olomouc court
Forty-five-year-old Martin Pompa appeared on Tuesday before the regional court in Olomouc. The state prosecutor accuses him of defrauding a collector of vintage cars from Přerov of ten million crowns. The prosecution claims that the man promised he would import two rare racing cars of the Chevron B16 make from the United Kingdom, which are among sought-after collector's pieces.
According to the prosecutor, however, the vehicles never arrived and the defrauded funds were not returned. Court proceedings were opened on Tuesday.
