A housing corruption case involving Otakar Bradáč, the former head of the housing commission in Brno-centre, is heading to court. Charges have been filed against four people, whilst four more suspects may conclude plea agreements.

State prosecutor files charges against ODS ex-politician and three others in Brno-centre housing case

State prosecutor Petra Lastovecká has referred the case to court against Otakar Bradáč, a former ODS politician who headed the housing commission of the Brno-centre municipal district. Three other people are also facing charges alongside him. Against the remaining four suspects, the prosecutor has filed a proposal for concluding a plea agreement.

The case involves a total of eight people. Bradáč was at the helm during the time when the alleged illegal dealings with municipal flats were said to have occurred. Details of the charges are not yet public.

The case concerns suspicious transactions involving municipal flats in central Brno. Police have been investigating the matter for several years. The case is now moving to the court phase.
