The Pardubice branch of the Regional Court handed down a verdict against three men who brutally assaulted a random passer-by in Chotěboř in the Havlíčkobrodsko district last March. The entire incident lasted just six minutes, yet had devastating consequences for the victim. Two of the attackers received unconditional prison sentences.
The conflict began in a local park and continued to a petrol station, where the three continued to attack their victim. According to available information, it was a violent attack without any preceding justifiable provocation. When imposing sentences, the court took into account that some of the perpetrators had had problems with the law in the past.
