Foreigner murders man in Prague city centre; police detain him at scene
On the night into Sunday, a scuffle broke out between two young foreign nationals on Trojická Street in Prague. One of them drew a knife and inflicted fatal injuries on the other. Law enforcement detained the perpetrator immediately at the scene.

On the night into Sunday, a tragic incident occurred on Trojická Street in Prague. Two young foreign nationals became embroiled in a dispute near club P.M. One of them subsequently pulled out a knife and stabbed his opponent. The victim died from the injuries sustained.
An ambulance arrived at the scene shortly before 1 a.m. Emergency responders attempted to revive the injured man for over thirty minutes. According to Prague emergency services spokeswoman Jana Poštová, healthcare workers provided intensive care – they secured airway patency, stopped the bleeding, inserted an intravenous line and administered medications. Despite all efforts by the medical team, the man could not be saved.
Both men were approximately twenty years old. The second man, who survived, sustained injuries to his hand.
"At just after 1 a.m. today, police officers responded to Trojická Street, where a conflict between two men occurred in which one used a knife against the other and caused him injuries incompatible with life," said Jan Rybanský, spokesman for Prague police, to Novinky.
Police officers arrested the aggressor directly at the crime scene. "Officers detained the attacker at the scene, and at this time the suspect is being investigated for the criminal offence of murder," Rybanský added. He did not release further details about the case at this time, as the investigation is still in its initial phase.
