Prague's higher court will deal with the case of a German citizen who was detained by Czech police because of a European arrest warrant. The woman is suspected of extremist activity and Germany is demanding her extradition.
The case reached the higher instance after a lower court ruled on her extradition to her homeland. She filed a complaint against this decision. The higher court will now assess whether all legal conditions for extradition have been met.
European arrest warrants serve to secure persons within the European Union. Member states detain sought persons on their basis and subsequently decide on their extradition to the country conducting criminal proceedings.
